Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what the mobile applications published by Lam Nguyen Developer ("the apps", "my apps") collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to every app listed on this site. By using the apps you agree to this policy.
1. Who is responsible
The apps are published by Lam Nguyen, an independent developer ("I", "me"). I am the data controller for the data described below. You can reach me any time at lam29012000@gmail.com.
2. What stays on your device
The core work of each app happens on your phone. Photos, videos, documents and files you open, edit, hide, recover or transfer are processed locally and are never uploaded to any server of mine. I do not run a backend that stores your content, and I have no way to see your files.
- Photo and video apps read and write only the media you select, or the media you ask the app to scan.
- The vault app stores hidden files in a private folder on your own device. If you uninstall the app without unhiding them first, those files may be lost — nothing is backed up to the cloud.
- The file transfer app sends files directly between devices on the same local network. The files do not pass through any server.
3. What is collected automatically
The apps are free and supported by advertising. Advertising, analytics and crash-reporting SDKs from third parties collect limited technical data from your device:
- Advertising identifier (AD_ID) — used by Google AdMob, and in some apps Meta Audience Network, to select and measure ads.
- Device and app information — device model, operating system version, language, country, app version and a non-permanent app instance identifier.
- Usage events — anonymous, aggregated events such as screens opened or a feature used, so I can tell which parts of an app people actually use.
- Crash diagnostics — stack traces, device state and the app version at the moment of a crash, so I can fix it.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address by the ad networks, at country or city level. The apps do not request GPS location permission.
None of this data identifies you by name, and none of it includes the content of your photos, videos or files.
4. Permissions the apps ask for
Each app asks only for the permissions it needs. Android shows you the request and you can refuse or revoke it at any time in system Settings.
- Camera — to take photos and record video inside the camera and photo booth apps.
- Microphone — to record audio together with video. Audio is never recorded on its own.
- Photos, media and files — to read the media you choose and to save results back to your gallery or storage.
- Network access — to show ads, deliver crash reports, and, in the file transfer app, to move files between devices on your local network.
- Installed apps list — used by the vault app to let you pick which apps to lock. The list is read on your device and is not sent anywhere.
5. Third-party services
The following services may process the technical data described in section 3. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob — advertising
- Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config — usage statistics, crash reports and feature configuration
- Meta Audience Network — advertising, in some apps
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases. Payment details are handled entirely by Google; I never see your card.
6. Purchases
Some apps offer an optional purchase, usually to remove ads. Payments are processed by Google Play. I receive only a confirmation that a purchase was made, never your payment details. Refunds follow the Google Play refund policy.
7. Your choices
- Reset or delete your advertising ID — Android Settings › Privacy › Ads. You can also turn off ad personalisation there.
- Revoke permissions — Android Settings › Apps › [app name] › Permissions.
- Buy the ad-free option, where an app offers one, to stop ad requests entirely.
- Uninstall the app — this stops all collection. Analytics and crash data already collected is anonymous and aggregated.
- Ask me to delete your data — write to lam29012000@gmail.com and I will act on it within 30 days.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent (GDPR in the EU/EEA and the UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere). I do not sell personal data, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad networks listed above. To exercise any right, email lam29012000@gmail.com.
9. Data retention
Content you create stays on your device for as long as you keep it; I hold none of it. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days, under their standard retention settings.
10. Children
My apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live) and I do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact me and I will remove it.
11. International transfers
The third-party services above operate globally and may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. They rely on their own safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app release notes. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy: lam29012000@gmail.com. I reply to every message.
